Cesar Macias Estrada (BURGOS-BURPELLET-BH) claimed victory in the seventh stage of the Tour of Magnificent Qinghai 2026, prevailing in a tight sprint to the day's finish line. The Mexican rider beat Tommaso Nencini (SOLUTION TECH NIPPO RALI) by a matter of millimeters, with the Italian narrowly missing his first professional win, while Alexander Salby (LI NING STAR) rounded out the podium in third place. The stage, modified from its original route due to the adverse weather conditions that affected the entire day, did not feature the planned climb above 4,000 meters of altitude. Despite the difficulties, the peloton remained compact and the stage was decided in a sprint. Darren van Bekkum (XDS Astana) and Alexander Konychev (China Anta Mentech) were caught in the final 500 meters, leaving the stage open for the final bunch gallop.Completing the top five were Maxime Duba (AZERION / VILLA VALKENBURG) and Manuel Peñalver Aniorte (TEAM POLTI VISITMALTA), all credited with the same time as the winner. In the general classification, Jonathan Caicedo (PETROLIKE) firmly holds the leader's jersey with a time of 21:18:50, followed by Jan Castellon Ribalta (CAJA RURAL-SEGUROS RGA) at 12 seconds and Henok Mulueberhan (XDS ASTANA TEAM) at 20 seconds. With only one stage remaining, the Ecuadorian rider is closing in on the overall victory.
