Tour de France 2026 – Stage 15: Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) won the 15th stage of the Grande Boucle, prevailing at the Plateau de Solaison finish after a day marked by Jonas Vingegaard's abandonment. The Belgian outsprinted overall race leader Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates XRG) in a two-man dash to the line, both credited with the same time (4:23:09). Third place went to Isaac Del Toro Romero (UAE Team Emirates XRG) at 6 seconds, completing the stage podium. Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) and Florian Lipowitz (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) finished at 58 seconds. The stage was shaped by Jonas Vingegaard's crash near the final climb, which forced the Dane to withdraw. Pogačar, already in the yellow jersey, chose to put himself at the service of his teammate Del Toro, who is still in contention for the young riders' classification and the overall podium. "I worked for Isaac today, for the white jersey and for the general classification, because he always does everything for me" – Pogačar said. UAE Team Emirates XRG's tactical plan paid off: Del Toro gained precious seconds on the chasers, moving up to third place overall and taking the white jersey. However, neither Pogačar nor Del Toro managed to drop Evenepoel, who launched the decisive attack in the finale. "There was a small misunderstanding. I wanted him to sprint, he attacked, but I think he lost a bit of confidence after the crash" – Pogačar added, referring to Del Toro. Updated general classification: Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates XRG) remains in the yellow jersey with a time of 55:41:31, followed by Remco Evenepoel at 5:00 and Isaac Del Toro Romero at 5:58. The race continues with the second week of racing and six stages still to be contested before the finish in Paris.
