Kasper Haugland promoted to the first team: from the devo team to the WorldTour with Decathlon CMA CGM

An internal promotion for Kasper Haugland Decathlon CMA CGM Team's 2027 market gains a young but already familiar face: Kasper Haugland has been promoted from the Decathlon CMA CGM Development Team to the first team Decathlon CMA CGM Team. The announcement dates back to 22 October 2026 and is not a transfer, but a promotion within the same sporting group: Haugland moves up to the first team after his time in the devo team. The first team's market The team welcoming Haugland is particularly active in the market. In addition to the promoted Norwegian, three other arrivals have been announced: Ben O'Connor, Laurens De Plus and Pavel Sivakov. On the departures front, four names are leaving: Felix Gall, Gregor Mühlberger, Pierre Gautherat and Stan Dewulf. A significant turnover that reshapes the WorldTour squad's roster. Movements in the devo team As for the Decathlon CMA CGM Development Team, Haugland's promotion represents the only departure announced alongside that of Marius Innhaug Dahl, while no arrivals have been announced. A sign of how the academy continues to supply talents to the first team. Haugland's 2026 results In 2026 Haugland achieved several notable placings in the youth categories. At the UEC Road European Championships he finished 3rd in the Under 23 individual time trial and 26th in the Under 23 road race. At the UCI Road World Championships he was 7th in the Under 23 individual time trial. In stage races, at the Flanders Tomorrow Tour he took 2nd place in stage 1 and 9th place in stage 1 (in both cases these are individual stages, not the general classification). Haugland's promotion is the only departure announced from the devo team alongside that of Marius Innhaug Dahl, while the first team has already finalised four departures and three arrivals in addition to Haugland — source: provided market data. Market context With Haugland's arrival, the first team now counts four new signings (including the promoted rider) and four departures.
