The Colombian delivered exactly as expected, taking the win. Abner Santiago Umba Lopez (Solution Tech NIPPO Rali) has won the Ordu Black Sea Classic, the UCI 1.2 race held on Sunday along the hills of Turkey's Black Sea coast, completing the 119.1km course and roughly 2,700m of climbing in 3:17:06. The Colombian finished ahead of Eritrea's Aman Awet (Istanbul Team) in second, with teammate Kyrylo Tsarenko rounding out the podium in third at the Karga Tepesi finish. It capped a strong weekend for Tsarenko, who had won the sister race the day before, the Ordu Coast to Summit, ahead of Daniil Pronskiy and Jo Hashikawa — both back in the results today, in seventh and tenth respectively. The two races form the "Tour of Ordu", which brought 17 teams from around the world to Turkey's Black Sea coast. Behind the podium, a tight group completed the top ten: the Netherlands' Adne Willemjan van Engelen (4th), Spain's Benjami Prades Reverter (5th), Australia's Luke Burns (6th), Pronskiy (7th), Switzerland's Alexandre Balmer — also Solution Tech NIPPO Rali, and our second favourite ahead of the race — in eighth, Denmark's Mathias Bregnhøj ninth, and Japan's Hashikawa completing the standings. A one-two on the podium (Umba and Tsarenko) plus a third rider inside the top ten (Balmer) underline Solution Tech NIPPO Rali's excellent form in this stretch of the season.
